Experts from Channel 4's reality series Virgin Island have opened up about their careers and behind-the-scenes secrets. Celeste Hirschman and Dr. Danielle Harel appeared as guests on the newest episode of the podcast Spill With Will, presented by Will Grande.
According to the podcast's synopsis, it is the go-to show for all the latest gossip, drama, and behind-the-scenes secrets from the world of Will. Each week, Will sits down with the biggest names from your phone screens to get the tea on their life.
Viewers and listeners are told to expect unfiltered stories, hilarious moments, and jaw-dropping confessions that can't be heard anywhere else. New episodes drop every Thursday at 6pm on all podcast platforms including Spotify and Apple. A video version is also uploaded at the same time on Will's YouTube account Snatched By Will.
This week's instalment sees Will dive deep into the insights of two of Virgin Island's sex experts. At one point, Will enquires about their past careers and asks: 'What was the oldest virgin you guys ever met?' Much to Will's surprise, Celeste answers: 'I worked with a 72-year-old virgin.'
She continues: 'And listen, I put him together with a sex surrogate. Actually, there was a movie about this sex surrogate called The Sessions, and he lost his virginity to her at 72. I wanted to cry. It's so sweet.'
While Will shared his amazement, he also wondered what had happened for someone to wait so long and asked: 'I think it's amazing that he's lost it but I think it's quite sad that for 72 years, he probably went through quite a lot. And maybe a lot of fear. Was that what was his? What was his reasoning?'
Celeste explained: 'He waited very late and then he had a very, very bad sexual experience where the woman, like, screamed at him for not being able to get an erection, and then he just didn't try again because it was so intimidating.'
Will compared the situation to one of the current cast members on the show right now. He said: 'That's insane. It's crazy how these small moments, like, really affect you for so long. And you see this on the show like the girl that opened up about being in school and got called the most ugliest girl. Like that made me cry. I was just like, I can't believe she went through that. You hear about things in school, but that actually happening is crazy.'
'Yeah. And it was so brave for her to come on the show in the face of all that, you know, and to be willing to talk openly about it. I'm so proud of her.'
Danielle underlined the understated importance of seeing these kind of people appear on a show like Virgin Island, as she added: 'Because, like, you know, the people who come on the show, not only they are brave, but they also inspire everyone who watches them. Because we can see ourselves in these beautiful people, and that really helps people like no matter how old you are, you can get help around that.'
Episodes of Spill With Will hosted by Will Grande are available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, and Deezer every Thursday at 6pm. Virgin Island airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 9pm on Channel 4.
