Liverpool Musician's Unforgettable Moment After Zach Bryan's Anfield Show
Scouser's Incredible Gesture from Zach Bryan at Anfield

A Liverpool musician has described an unforgettable moment after country star Zach Bryan made an incredible gesture at the end of his Anfield show. Louis Gibney, 19, from Litherland, attended the concert at Liverpool FC's stadium on June 12, hoping to be chosen for Bryan's traditional duet of Heading South.

A Dedicated Campaign

For 210 days, Louis posted covers of Zach Bryan songs on social media to catch the singer's attention. He stood in the golden circle with a sign highlighting his efforts. However, when Bryan broke tradition and did not invite a fan on stage, Louis feared his campaign had failed.

The Surprise Gesture

At the end of the final song, Revival, Bryan returned to the stage with a signed guitar and jumped into the crowd to hand it to Louis. "It was genuinely one of the maddest half an hours of my life," Louis told the ECHO. "The rollercoaster of emotions was unbelievable. I was starstruck and then he gave me a fist bump."

An Unforgettable Experience

After receiving the guitar, Louis played Heading South as the lights came on, treating fans to an impromptu cover. "At least I can say I played Heading South at Anfield. It weren't on stage, but that was still an incredible experience," he said. The guitar bears Bryan's message: "Liverpool! Anfield stadium. Thank you so much."

Emotional Connection

Louis, a lifelong Liverpool fan, had earlier shared his dream of performing with Bryan at Anfield. "Football and music are the two biggest things in Liverpool," he explained. "To put it all together with my favourite artist and my favourite team would be unbelievable." He discovered Bryan's music three years ago and has been "obsessed" ever since.

The campaign gained support from across the city, with Louis expressing gratitude to everyone who backed him. "I'm made up and really appreciative," he said. "Especially my family, they've been a big help."
