Dennis Haskins, the American actor best known for playing high school headteacher Mr Belding in the hit 1990s teen sitcom Saved by the Bell, has died at the age of 75. His long-time agent, Jay Schachter, confirmed the news to the US entertainment publication Variety on Monday. Further details and a cause of death have not yet been disclosed.
Iconic role as Mr Belding
Haskins became a familiar face to television audiences worldwide as Principal Richard Belding, the affable Bayside High headmaster perpetually exasperated by the antics of pupil Zack Morris, played by Mark-Paul Gosselaar. He played the iconic role during the 90s.

Paying tribute, Mr Schachter said: “It’s a tragic loss. Everyone loved Mr Belding and those of us who got to know Dennis loved him even more.
“He was a great person, and he loved, I mean absolutely LOVED his fans. He always had time for them, no matter what. He was my client and dear friend for over 20 years, and I will miss him terribly. I’m heartbroken.”
