Pete Wicks, best friend of Sam Thompson, has expressed his happiness for Zara McDermott and Louis Tomlinson's new relationship. Speaking on KISS Breakfast, where he co-hosted with Olivia Attwood, Wicks said: 'I know them, I have a slight connection there and you know, I'm happy, I'm happy for them... That's amazing, I've seen the pictures they're walking through a car park, really romantic...'
The comments come after Zara, 28, and Louis, 33, were spotted on a romantic trip to Los Angeles. The pair attended a Stereophonics gig together and later shared breakfast in Malibu, with Zara posting a photo featuring Louis's arm, in what has been described as a 'soft launch' of their romance. They were also seen holding hands at Soho Beach House in Malibu.
Zara previously dated Made In Chelsea star Sam Thompson for five years, splitting in December. Pete Wicks was often considered their 'third wheel', appearing in many of their TikTok videos. Sam has not commented on the new romance but recently said on his podcast: 'People look for validation in others to fill that hole... I can't do that.'
A body language expert has suggested that one party may be more invested in the relationship than the other, though no further details were provided.
