Comedian and mental health campaigner Ruby Wax has become the latest celebrity to be eliminated from I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! The star was sent packing from the Australian jungle on Wednesday night, leaving just seven contestants in the running for the crown.
Down to the Final Seven
Hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly announced Wax's departure live after she found herself in the bottom two with actress Lisa Riley. Her exit marks the fifth elimination of the series, following those of Alex Scott, Eddie Kadi, Vogue Williams, and Kelly Brook. The show is now building towards its grand final on Sunday 7 December, which will be broadcast on ITV1, STV, ITVX and STV Player.
The episode was a festive affair, with campmates Tom Read Wilson and Lisa Riley winning gifts for the group in a challenge. Presents included a Manchester United scarf for content creator Angryginge, a foam roller for Jack Osbourne, and an air freshener for Shona.
Stirring the Pot and Jungle Pubs
Wax, alongside Lisa Riley, was at the centre of some camp drama after they rearranged the chore roster. The move gave rapper Aitch just one job while assigning two to Angryginge. Wax later admitted the decision was designed to create a little conflict between the two younger campmates.
Elsewhere, the celebrities enjoyed a rare night of relative relaxation at the camp's makeshift pub, the Jungle Arms. The mood turned poignant during dinner when Jack Osbourne revealed it was the birthday of his late father, rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, who would have been 77. Jack put on a brave face, stating, "I'm OK though, it's just another day at the end of the day."
Osbourne's Tough Trial and Brook's Parting Shot
Earlier in the episode, Jack Osbourne faced what could be his final Bushtucker Trial, titled "Dangerous Discoveries." The challenge required him to unearth fossil-like stars while being surrounded by scorpions, lizards, and toads.
The previous elimination, Kelly Brook's exit on Tuesday 2 December, was not without its own drama. After being reunited with her husband Jeremy Parisi on the famous jungle bridge, Brook cheekily revealed to the camp that she, Aitch, and Angryginge had been hiding milk bottle sweets from the others earlier in the week.
With the final now just days away, the remaining seven celebrities will face their toughest challenges yet as they vie to become the next King or Queen of the Jungle.
