RAYE has spoken out after Katie Price used her signature track in a video that went viral, admitting she became emotional when the former glamour model asked 'where the hell is my husband'. The 48-year-old ex-glamour model referenced the BRIT Award-winning star's hit song during the ongoing saga surrounding her husband Lee Andrews, whom she married in January. Andrews mysteriously vanished after failing to board a flight from Dubai ahead of a scheduled appearance on Good Morning Britain.
The Viral Video and RAYE's Reaction
Katie Price raised the alarm, claiming her husband was missing, before it emerged that he had been detained in Al Awir prison in Dubai over accusations of espionage. The bizarre series of twists and turns captured public attention, and RAYE was asked about the viral video in a new interview. On Saturday, RAYE joined Jordan North, Chris Stark, and Sian Welby live from Capital's Summertime Ball with Barclaycard at Wembley Stadium.
Sian Welby remarked, 'Talking of lyrics, I mean, 'Where The Hell Is My Husband!' has just literally dominated. Like, it's not going anywhere. It's been nine months of our life; we've been just loving life,' to which RAYE joked, 'Are you sick of it yet?' Sian continued, 'Honestly, I'm not even saying this, we were saying the other day how it's become part of... Like, I think you've entered a different level of, like, iconic words. You say, 'I'll Google it,' or 'Get me the hoover' and it's a brand. You must have seen so many celebs using it as a funny thing? The audio, the lines.'
Jordan North then chimed in, 'I mean, the Katie Price meme. Did you see that?' RAYE quickly replied, 'Oh my God, I did! I felt so emotional for her. Is she doing alright?' Jordan explained, 'She was like, 'I don't know where she is?' and then in the background it went, 'Baby…!' She went, 'Yeah, where is my husband?'' as RAYE exclaimed, 'Oh no!'
Katie Price's Ongoing Ordeal
Katie married Dubai-based businessman Lee in January, and their romance has been a non-stop series of twists and turns. Since they tied the knot, Lee has faced several accusations of being a conman, which Katie has repeatedly denied. It recently emerged that he was actually held in prison over a 'civil matter,' and Katie had reportedly tried to bail him out until a third case came to light.
Insisting that the whole situation is real and not a publicity stunt, Katie told The Sun: 'This is real, this is real life; this is my life. It has been a tough few weeks, don't get me wrong. But I've still stayed strong through it all, and I have a smile on my face. So, in this situation, I'm doing what I want to do, and I'm out here in Dubai, because I'm here to help Lee.' She added, 'Some people might not like my choices, but I'm not living for everyone else. I know people have been calling me stupid, I see all the trolling, I hear it. I am not stupid.'
Over the months, since they first met on social media earlier this year, fans have watched as Katie met, got engaged, and married Lee all within a few weeks of each other. From there, she flew out to Dubai multiple times, but he has failed to come to the UK. Lee has denied claims that he has a travel ban and cannot leave the UAE, but Katie has seemingly hinted he does have some sort of travel restriction. Katie's family have stood by her throughout, but her sister Sophie has made her feelings clear on the marriage.
