Europe's largest gathering of Elvis fans took place annually in September in the seaside town of Porthcawl, south Wales, with impersonators and fans celebrating the King.
Competitors and fans gather
Ernie Emmanuel, 17, got ready to compete in the festival competition, dressed as an army Elvis. This was his second time performing as Elvis. Mason O'Brian was also seen backstage before competing.
Other attendees included Maria Phillips, known as Platinum Elvis, who travelled from Australia for the festival. She first started impersonating Elvis at three years old.
Costumes and traditions
Brian, known as Smurf Elvis, decided to remix his costume this year after 10 years of attending the festival. Paul Dumayne, a plumber by trade for the last 50 years, marked his 10th year at the festival.

Festival atmosphere
Elvis impersonators did vocal warmups before the competition, and a group of friends sang Welsh anthems while drinking together. A Cadillac parked by the beach was adorned for the occasion.
An Elvis fan got the festival going with an open-air performance outside a closed-down pub. Tropical flower leis, as seen in Presley's Hawaiian films, hung at a market stall. A group of Elvis fans travelled through the festival on bicycles, and Elvis flags decorated the town.
