Perrie Edwards and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain tied the knot over the weekend in Portugal, with the singer donning three different dresses and a Little Mix-inspired playlist for the celebration.
A Decade-Long Romance
The couple, both 32, began dating in 2016 and announced their engagement in 2022. They share two children, Axel and Alanis. After a four-year engagement, they exchanged vows in a Catholic church in Estoi, Algarve, surrounded by 140 guests including family, friends, and famous faces.
The Wedding Dresses
For the ceremony, Perrie wore a floor-length white lace gown with long sleeves from Dana Harel, complete with a Browns Bride train. Alex opted for a simple black tuxedo.
After the vows, she changed into an embellished Galia Lahav creation paired with Jimmy Choo heels for the first dance. For the reception, she slipped into a custom minidress from Annie’s Ibiza, featuring a dramatic matching headdress and Louboutin shoes. “I wanted to change for the evening so I could dance and be free,” she told British Vogue. “It was short and fun and fab and cinched to the heavens with the corset!”
Emotional Moments
Perrie recalled seeing Alex at the altar: “Alex isn’t a crier - he doesn’t get emotional that often. But when he turned around at the altar and saw me for the first time, we both just cried our eyes out. I thought: I’ll never forget this moment right here. It was beautiful. I’ve never experienced a room so full of love.”
Guests and Entertainment
The guest list included Alex’s former Arsenal teammates Danny Welbeck and Kieran Gibbs, as well as England’s Mason Mount. Little Mix bandmates Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall were present, though Jade left early to perform at Primavera Festival. A 16-piece band and Sol & The Gang performed, including Little Mix’s Wings and En Vogue’s Don’t Let Go—a nod to the band’s X Factor win. “We were absolutely going off to En Vogue,” Perrie said. “We still remembered all of our harmonies and the choreography!”
A Perfect Day
Perrie described the wedding as “the best day of my life – up there with the births of my children.” She added, “We wanted to make sure every moment of the day was an experience for our guests.”
