Perrie Edwards and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have officially tied the knot in a 'top secret' wedding in Portugal, with only 70 guests in attendance. The South Shields-born Little Mix star and the Celtic footballer exchanged vows at the Igreja Matriz de Estoi church in Estoi, Faro, on Saturday.
Intimate Ceremony
The couple, both 32, said 'I do' in front of a small congregation that notably did not include her former Little Mix bandmates Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock. While Jade was in Portugal at the time, she was booked to perform at the Primavera festival in Porto, hundreds of miles away. The reason for Leigh-Anne's absence remains unknown.
Perrie looked 'absolutely radiant' in a lace long-sleeve gown, with six bridesmaids by her side. Alex wore a sharp tuxedo. Guests were transported from the luxurious Conrad Algarve hotel to the secret location.
Relationship Timeline
The couple first sparked romance rumors in late 2016 when Perrie was spotted at the Emirates Stadium watching Alex play for Arsenal. He later attended The X Factor to support Little Mix. They welcomed their first child, Axel, in August 2021, got engaged in 2022, and had their daughter Alanis Valentine in January of this year.
Among the 70 guests were former Arsenal teammate Carl Jenkinson and Fulham's Harrison Reed. The wedding came weeks after Alex's current club Celtic won the Scottish Premier League title on the final day of the season.
The celebration continued at Parrilla Natural restaurant in the Algarve.
