Fans have called it the best series they have ever seen, and critics agree with a perfect 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. However, drama enthusiasts must act quickly, as the show will be leaving Netflix very soon.
What Is Kin About?
Kin, released in 2021, follows a family whose son is killed, sparking a gangland war with an international cartel. The Kinsellas have an unbreakable bond of blood and family that the cartel lacks. The series stars Charlie Cox and Clare Dunne.
Critical Acclaim
The Spectator wrote that the show "ought to be on everyone's top recommendation list," adding that it's "the first thing in ages where I've been absolutely salivating to watch the next episode." The Irish Independent called it "the best Irish drama series in years."
Fans are even more enthusiastic. One said it's the "Best show on TV since Gangs Of London," while another declared it the "best series [they] have ever seen."
Leaving Netflix Soon
Season 2 of Kin is available on Netflix until June 30. After that date, fans will need to turn to BBC iPlayer, where both seasons 1 and 2 are available.
Hope for Season 3
There are talks of a third season, which excites fans. One wrote: "Absolutely brilliant, one of the best I've seen up there with Peaky Blinders. The acting throughout is superb and the storyline is gripping. Season 2 just as good. Hope there is a season 3!" Another added: "There's nothing not to like about season 2 of this well-crafted TV series. Definitely better than the first series. I'm hoping that a third series is on the cards."
