Peaty Family Hits Back at Gordon Ramsay's 'Self-Inflicted' Wedding Feud Claim

Adam Peaty's family has responded angrily to Gordon Ramsay's recent comments about the wedding feud that saw most of the Peaty clan banned from the ceremony. The Olympic swimmer, 30, married Holly Ramsay, 25, at Bath Abbey in early January, but the lead-up was overshadowed by a public rift between the two families.

In an interview with The Daily Mail, Gordon Ramsay described the situation as 'upsetting' but 'self-inflicted' from the Peaty side, claiming his family had treated them 'like royalty' at the engagement party. A family source told The Sun: 'We are outraged. Gordon is nothing but a big bully, and we hate bullies.'

The source accused the Ramsays of ignoring Caroline Peaty, Adam's mother, and failing to return her texts. They also claimed a promised lunch after the engagement never materialised. 'The Ramsays did not treat Caroline like royalty at all – they treated her as though she was nothing,' the source said.

Gordon had stated that it was Adam and Holly's wish for the Peaty parents not to attend the wedding, adding that he hoped to 'draw a line in the sand' by visiting Nottingham to meet them. However, the Peaty family source dismissed this, saying: 'How bloody dare they – the sheer gall of them!'

The insider also accused the Ramsays of being 'selective' with the truth to promote their documentary, and warned: 'All this hurt you have caused just to publicise your documentary – is it worth it?' Despite the tension, Gordon has publicly supported the couple, calling Adam an 'incredible son in law' on Instagram.
