Adam Peaty, 31, and Holly Ramsay, 26, tied the knot in a lavish ceremony at Bath Abbey on 27 December, followed by a luxurious reception at Kin House in Wiltshire. However, conspicuously absent were most of Peaty's family, including his parents, Caroline and Mark.
The situation has been thrust back into the spotlight by Sarah Symonds, 55, who alleges she had a seven-year affair with celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay – claims he denies. Symonds says she has recently become friends with Adam's 'heartbroken' mother Caroline and they have discussed the wedding snub.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Symonds stated she believes beauty therapist Bethany, 32, was chosen as a bridesmaid alongside Holly's sisters Megan and Tilly because she met a certain aesthetic. 'It's heartbreaking,' Symonds said. 'Especially because Caroline is just lovely... I'm so glad I reached out because now Caroline and I are close. One could say we are kindred spirits.'
Symonds implied that Bethany's attendance was an exception made because she was 'pretty enough for the Ramsays' and aligned with the highly curated social media image the family wishes to project. This claim adds fuel to previous reports that a feud erupted after Holly took a dislike to Caroline's original choice of mother-of-the-groom dress.
A Family Rift and a Mother's Heartbreak
The disagreement over the dress is said to have escalated, leading to Caroline and most of Adam's working-class family being uninvited. Adam's brother James was also excluded from the wedding blacklist after allegedly making threats during the stag do.
