Adam Peaty and Holly Ramsay's Faith Journey and Family Rift

Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty and influencer Holly Ramsay, both born-again Christians, have faced scrutiny over their faith amid reports of a family rift. Peaty, 30, is set to marry Ramsay, 25, at Bath Abbey next month, but his mother Caroline Peaty has reportedly been excluded from the wedding. According to sources, only Peaty's sister Bethany will attend, while Holly's parents, chef Gordon Ramsay and Tana Ramsay, have been included in pre-wedding celebrations.

Both Peaty and Ramsay have spoken openly about their struggles with alcohol. Ramsay, daughter of Gordon Ramsay, marked two years of sobriety in December 2022, describing hitting 'rock bottom' before quitting drinking at age 21. She previously revealed she developed PTSD after two sexual assaults at age 18, leading to a diagnosis of anxiety and depression. Ramsay spent three months at the Nightingale Hospital and has since advocated for mental health awareness.

Peaty, a gold medallist, also faced a low point after the 2018 Commonwealth Games, where he lost the 50m race. He admitted to turning to alcohol and partying, saying he had 'not that much belief in myself.' The couple's faith has been central to their recovery, but the reported family exclusion has drawn criticism from relatives, who question whether the snub aligns with Christian values.
