Patsy Kensit has disclosed a secret romantic relationship with the late Hollywood actor Terence Stamp. The 57-year-old actress said she fell for the Oscar-nominated star in the early 1990s, when she was 23 and he was 53. Stamp, known for his role in the 1962 film Billy Budd, died in August last year at the age of 87.
Kensit recalled meeting Stamp at a party in London before they both worked on the 1991 crime thriller Prince of Shadows, filmed in Madrid. She described him as 'probably the most beautiful man I’d ever seen' and said their romance ended when she secured another acting job that separated them. She told The Sun: 'We were star-crossed lovers and he was a total gentleman. Even though there was an age gap, we had a strong bond. He was an amazing and generous lover.'
The actress revealed Stamp wrote her love letters about lucid dreams, which she still keeps in storage. She also discovered he had been corresponding with her mother, who was dying of cancer at the time, offering advice on supplements and diet. Kensit is reportedly planning her memoirs, suggesting further revelations about her past relationships may emerge.
Kensit has been married four times: to Dan Donovan (1988–1991), Jim Kerr (1992–1996), Liam Gallagher (1997–2000), and DJ Jeremy Healy (2009–2010). In 2024, she called off an engagement to property tycoon Patric Cassidy and declared she had given up on finding a man, saying she is 'not interested' in a relationship and prefers her own company.
She also spoke about the collapse of her skincare brand Preciously Perfect in 2021, which forced her to sell her home and 'start again'. Kensit dismissed reports that she was wealthy from her past marriages, stating she has worked hard and the business failure was 'brutal'. She added that she does not speak to any of her ex-husbands but supports her sons' relationships with their fathers.
