In this ultimate reality television survival challenge, reminiscent of The Island with Bear Grylls, 16 participants must endure not only the jungle environment but also the mental and interpersonal obstacles presented by their rivals. Netflix teased: "As alliances shift and strategies evolve, the question remains: Who will have the resilience, cunning, and teamwork necessary to claim the million-dollar prize and emerge victorious from the depths of the Panamanian jungle?"

Episode Count for Outlast: The Jungle
The series comprises eight episodes altogether, with the concluding two instalments set to arrive on Wednesday, June 17. Audiences are eager to discover who will triumph in the competition, with only nine contenders remaining in the running for the prize.
The participants still competing at the conclusion of episode six are: Sarah Awad, Abby Chu, Morgan Colburn, Braxton Fish, Pharaoh Gayles, Nikki Hru, Maddy Jones, Leiya Pillitteri and Wes Saunders. Nearly half the field saw their hopes of winning dashed during the opening six episodes of the programme.
Early Departures
Mary Wedell departed the programme early after no team wished to recruit her, while Sean Jacobs was compelled to withdraw following injuries sustained from burns. Dave Cecchini made the ultimate sacrifice after each team received a letter offering a resource in exchange for a player, choosing to leave so his team could benefit from fire. Marshall Strain withdrew after 26 days due to homesickness, while Halle Cooley used the flare gun to quit during one of the challenges.
Background and Previous Season
The series follows on from the 2023 Outlast, which saw competitors take on the gruelling Alaskan wilderness. The original series was won by Seth Lueker, Paul Preece, and Nick Radner, who formed Team Charlie. Audiences will need to wait until Wednesday to discover who triumphs in the new series set in the Panamanian jungle.
