Olivia Attwood and Bradley Dack's lavish wedding, which was documented on her ITV2 reality show, has been revealed as not legally binding. The couple tied the knot at the Bvlgari Hotel in Knightsbridge, which does not hold a marriage license. They signed a fake document on camera and vowed to legally marry weeks later at a Cheshire registry office, but never followed through.
The revelation emerged last week, with Attwood citing a 'number of mistruths' discovered between the filmed ceremony and the planned legal appointment. Despite the lack of legal status, she had referred to Bradley as her husband and changed her social media name to Olivia Attwood-Dack. The couple's 10-year relationship is said to be genuine, but the legal proceedings stalled.
Attwood is not alone in having a non-legal wedding. Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash also held a ceremony at their home, Pickle Cottage, in 2022, but never registered the marriage at a registry office. Solomon explained on social media that their private residence lacked a civil ceremony licence, so they planned to legalise it later, but family life got in the way.
Other celebrities, such as Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker, had a similar experience. Their 2am Las Vegas wedding in 2022 was not legal due to the lack of a marriage license, but they later officially registered at a Santa Barbara courthouse.
