Olivia Attwood Opens Up About Loneliness in Unhappy Relationships After Split

Olivia Attwood has spoken candidly about feeling lonely in 'unhappy relationships' following her split from husband Bradley Dack. The former Love Island star, 34, and footballer, 32, confirmed the end of their two-year marriage earlier this month.

In a podcast recorded before the split, Attwood told Jamie Laing on his Great Company podcast that she had spent years in 'unhappy' relationships. She warned that 'when you're in an unhappy relationship, it's actually the loneliest place to be'.

Discussing her own marriage, she said it was easy to become disconnected when both partners have high-pressure careers. 'It's like some big dirty secret that no one wants to talk about,' she added, noting that many people had messaged her after she discussed it.

Attwood admitted she had previously feared being alone, overlapping relationships to avoid solitude. But she now believes being comfortable with yourself is powerful, as 'that's the only person that's there at the beginning and will be there at the end'.

Since the split, Attwood has shared on Instagram that she cries herself to sleep but carries on with business as usual when the alarm goes off at 5am. She said she wants both herself and Brad to be happy and is taking things 'one day at a time'.
