Olivia Attwood's mother, Jennifer, has admitted that she finds some of her daughter's television shows a challenge to watch. The 35-year-old TV personality and her mum appeared on the latest episode of ITV's This Morning on June 8 to discuss their debut on the new series of Celebrity Gogglebox.
Jennifer's Honest Confession
During the interview with presenters Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley, Jennifer was asked whether she watches Olivia's other programmes, such as Getting Filthy Rich and The Price of Perfection. Hesitating, Jennifer replied, 'Erm, I like...' before Olivia interjected, 'You do! She finds Getting Filthy Rich a tough watch.'
Jennifer agreed, saying, 'Yes, very tough! And I'm not good at watching surgeries, so the other one is not great for me either. But I tend to skip through a bit, maybe, and just watch snippets.' Olivia added that her mother often watches her shows but hides behind her hands.
Family Bonding Over Gogglebox
The pair also discussed their new stint on Celebrity Gogglebox, which Jennifer revealed she is a huge fan of. She often asked Olivia when they would participate in the Channel 4 programme. Olivia commented, 'Doing Celebrity Gogglebox with my mum was chaotic but in the best possible way. It's not often that we agree on things, which I think the viewers may find entertaining. My family are huge fans of the show, so it's a real honour to be a part of such an iconic British programme.'
Other New Cast Members
Joining Olivia and Jennifer on the new series are Harry and Matt, also known as Nitro and Legend from BBC's Gladiators, content creators George Clark and Max Balegde, and TV veterans Julian Clary and Nigel Havers. Julian shared his thoughts, saying, 'Doing Celebrity Gogglebox was an absolute treat, a perfectly civilised way to spend an evening. I do like to think my commentary brought a certain level of refinement to proceedings, and Nigel managed to stay awake, although there is an unsightly stain on my sofa.'
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1.
