Thousands of Oasis fans who secured a unique access code for the Oasis Live '27 sale were left empty-handed over the weekend, prompting frustration and speculation that a loophole allowed some buyers to use their codes in multiple sales.
When Oasis announced their 2027 tour earlier this month, organisers confirmed there would be no general sale due to overwhelming demand. Instead, fans registered their interest and were selected at random to receive a unique non-transferable code granting access to an allocated sale. Codes were sent out between Thursday (September 24) and Sunday (September 27), with nine sales taking place across the weekend – three each day on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 9am, 1pm and 5pm.
Fans report disappointment despite receiving codes
While many fans missed out on a code altogether, others were doubly frustrated after receiving one and still failing to buy tickets. Before the sales, Oasis said in a statement: "Successful applicants selected at random will receive a unique access code. Please note tickets are limited. Registering doesn't guarantee a code, and receiving a code doesn't guarantee tickets."
Despite that warning, fans who accessed the sale were left with nothing. One user wrote on Facebook: "Anyone else have a code and no tickets still? absolutely heartbroken. I had three codes but every time I got on, they were all sold out instantly or was £600 hotel packages. What if I live here? Why do I HAVE to buy a hotel with my ticket?"
Another replied: "Yep my partner got a code and went in half an hour before it started. Still couldn't get any, bloody devastated." A third added: "Yes the seats would let me select them and then it suddenly became unavailable when coming to pay, it was a joke."
Claims of codes being reused across multiple sales
It was originally believed that codes would only be valid for one sale, but social media users have claimed that codes worked for multiple time slots. One fan complained: "Me. I was trying to get tickets for Manchester for my sons. Got in after 5 mins in the queue and everything we picked came back as unavailable. Tried from 5-8pm. Not amused that people with the earlier time slot were able to buy in the 5pm slot."
Another questioned: "Does make you wonder if the codes from Saturday worked for all the time slots and that's why there was a lack of tickets in the Sunday sales." A reply read: "Definitely were. I know of people that used the same code and bought from the 9am, 1pm and 5pm sales." Someone else echoed: "I know a few people that managed to get in other slots and buy with their code, it's shocking."
All tickets now sold out
Oasis confirmed yesterday evening (Saturday 27) that all tickets for their 42-date Oasis Live '27 tour have now sold out. Fans who missed out will be able to buy resale tickets for the Oasis shows closer to the time, but they must have been purchased on Ticketmaster and can only be relisted on Twickets for face value price.
