During this week's broadcasts of BBC News at One, viewers noticed that Nina appeared to have makeup only on one side of her face, prompting questions about her health. Taking to social media, Nina clarified that she had been advised to rest her eye.
She wrote: "Thanks for the concerned msgs about my asymmetrical mush. I'm in no pain or discomfort, and my lovely pharmacist is helping - left eye just needs a few days off makeup."
