Nick Knowles has issued a furious response to a body-shaming troll who targeted him on social media following a DIY SOS Children in Need special. The TV presenter, known for his work on the BBC show, faced an insulting comment on X after the episode aired on Thursday, November 13.
The troll replied to a photo of Knowles from the show, writing: “Nick Knowles ate Pudsey!” The comment referred to his appearance, but Knowles quickly fired back, revealing the troll had previously targeted his wife during her illness. He wrote: “I know you - you were trolling my wife when she was ill & we reported you to your employer. Now you’ve watched a show about building a place for a children’s cancer charity & decided to go for me being heavy. Do you think maybe you should get some counselling about this obsession?”
Fans rallied to defend Knowles, with one calling the comment “uncalled for” and another stating that “body shaming anyone is in very poor taste.” The episode featured a challenging build for The Joshua Tree, a charity supporting families affected by childhood cancer.
The incident comes after a difficult period for Knowles and his wife Katie, who underwent emergency surgery in September following complications from a hysterectomy. Knowles described the experience as “frightening” and praised his wife’s strength during her recovery from PCOS and endometriosis-related issues.
