Jess Wright has marked five years since the death of her grandmother, Nanny Pat, with a heartfelt Instagram post. The former TOWIE star shared a smiling photo of herself with Pat, who died in 2015 at the age of 80.
In the caption, Jess wrote: '5 years ago today, heaven gained an angel. I can’t quite believe it’s been 5 whole years. This day I lost one of my best friends & it hurt like hell. Miss you nan, love you!' She also expressed sympathy for others missing loved ones at Christmas, noting that 2020 has been a tough year.
Jess's mother, Carol Wright, also paid tribute, sharing a snap of Nanny Pat waving from a carriage. Carol wrote: 'Five years today mumma you waved goodbye to us all. We miss you and think about you every day. You was my mum, my queen my everything. I hope you having fun with dad.'
TOWIE co-stars Gemma Collins, Chloe Sims, and Debbie Bright, along with voice-over artist Denise Van Outen, commented on Jess's post. Gemma Collins wrote: 'Jess she is with you always,' accompanied by red hearts.
Nanny Pat, born Patricia Booker in 1935, initially declined to appear on TOWIE but later became a beloved character known for her frank attitude and witty one-liners. She once said of her late husband: 'It's a shame that my Charlie wasn't around to see us all on television.'
