Big Brother Winner Nadia Almada Shows Off Six Stone Weight Loss After Life-Saving Surgery

Big Brother legend Nadia Almada, who made history as the first transgender winner of the show in 2004, has undergone a dramatic transformation. The 47-year-old has lost over six stone after travelling to Turkey for gastric sleeve surgery in March this year.

Speaking to OK! magazine, Nadia revealed that her mother suggested the procedure during a Christmas visit to Portugal. 'I was a size 20 and a mere shadow of my former self,' she said. Since the surgery, she has dropped from 17st 6lb to 11st 8lb, going from a size 20 to a size 12.

Nadia described the surgery as 'life-saving', noting that her cholesterol and thyroid levels decreased just three months after the operation. However, she admitted the adjustment was difficult, as she struggled with emotional eating and began watching mukbang videos to trick her brain into thinking she was eating.
