The 55-year-old actor, who now sports a full grey beard and slicked-back silver hair, shared a photo on Monday showing him in a black bomber jacket and slacks, cigarette in mouth.
Purcell's transformation marks a departure from his trademark shaved head and clean-cut image. His wife, Tish Cyrus, 58, has playfully commented on the change, writing on one post: 'I have no idea who this is?!? Bring my husband back.' The couple married in 2023 after dating since July 2022.
Tish Cyrus, mother of singer Miley Cyrus, divorced Billy Ray Cyrus in 2022. Purcell, who was born in England but raised in Australia, has four children with ex-wife Rebecca Williamson: Joe, 25; Audrey, 24; and twins Lily-Rose and Augustus, 22.
The actor's new rugged appearance has drawn comparisons to his Prison Break character, though fans may find it a far cry from the tough, clean-shaven image he portrayed on the show.
