Former Love Island finalist Molly-Mae Hague has revealed she was left 'black and blue' and 'semi-traumatised' after a serious fall from a horse. The 25-year-old content creator shared the details in her latest YouTube vlog, an 'overdue catch-up' uploaded on Tuesday night.
Hague, who has been documenting her equestrian lessons for years, said the incident was 'really quite bad' and occurred despite her beginner status. 'The kind of fall that I actually had off the horse recently was like not the kind of fall that you would expect to have like at the stage of learning that I'm at,' she explained.
The fall was caught on camera, and Hague expressed disbelief that she escaped serious injury. 'When I watch it back I'm like how am I okay? Like how did I get up from that? I was literally black and blue,' she said. She credited her body protector and helmet for preventing worse harm.
Hague admitted to having 'flashbacks' and said the experience has made her question whether horse riding is for her. 'It really has made me question like whether horse riding is for me,' she said, adding that she is 'taking a pause' on lessons to process what happened.
Despite the setback, Hague noted she did get back on the horse after the fall. She described the entire ordeal as 'absolutely bizarre' and said she had never experienced bruising like it before, but considered walking away with only bruises a 'miracle'.
