Molly-Mae Hague has responded to online criticism regarding her choice of attire for Venezuela Fury's wedding. The former Love Island star wore a black jumpsuit to the ceremony held on the Isle of Man, accompanied by her daughter, Bambi.
Addressing the Backlash
In a YouTube video released on Tuesday, 26 May, Hague addressed what she described as “humbling comments” about her outfit. She questioned why wearing black to a wedding is often deemed unacceptable, stating that she did not intend to cause offense.
Hague, who was heavily pregnant at the time, explained that her appearance was not her primary concern. She attended the wedding primarily because Bambi was serving as a bridesmaid. “I was heavily pregnant, and my main focus was on my daughter and supporting her role,” she said.
Social Media Reaction
The criticism sparked a wider debate on social media about wedding dress codes and the expectations placed on guests, particularly pregnant women. Supporters of Hague defended her choice, arguing that comfort and practicality should take precedence over traditional norms.
Hague concluded her video by thanking those who offered kind words and reaffirming that she values her family’s happiness over public opinion.
