Molly-Mae Hague Responds to Tommy Fury Fight Appearance Backlash

Molly-Mae Hague has responded to the outpouring of comments following her appearance at Tommy Fury's boxing return, saying she had to 'pull herself together' to be there. The influencer was present as her beau headed back into the ring for his first fight in almost a year on Saturday at Manchester's AO Arena.

Revealing Baby Name

All eyes were on the couple over the weekend as they used Tommy's return to the boxing ring to reveal their newborn son's name, Midas, which was spelt out on the back of the boxer's shirt and boxing shorts during his fight against former world's strongest man Eddie Hall. Tommy and Molly-Mae, both 27, welcomed their second child earlier this month, three years after the arrival of their first child, daughter Bambi. Their son's arrival came during his strict training camp regime.

Tommy's Tribute

Alongside pictures from his triumphant return to the ring, Tommy wrote on Instagram on Sunday evening: 'Still undefeated. Huge respect to Eddie. You surprised me, pushed me and gave me a challenge. Thank you for accepting the fight and sharing the ring with me, it was a pleasure. This one is for my newborn son Midas. And thank you to Molly for holding down the fort with our two beautiful children whilst I was preparing.' He added: 'Thank you everyone who turned out last night, events like this wouldn't be possible without you all. Now it's time for some much-needed family time.'

Molly-Mae's Honest Response

Molly-Mae was flooded with support and compliments over her appearance ringside, just days after she gave birth to the couple's son. But now she's responded to the backlash the reaction has created. Taking to her Instagram Story, she shared a picture of herself posing for a mirror selfie in her figure-hugging cream dress from her own fashion brand, Maebe. 'Quite possibly the ONLY dress that would've made me feel confident 2 weeks PP [post-partum],' Molly-Mae said. She then added in a follow-up post: 'No gatekeeping with the spanx, also a GIANT pad and a lot of prayers.'

Keeping It Real

The new mum-of-two then continued to keep it as real as possible with her loyal following. She shared a photo in which she could be seen breastfeeding her newborn, with sick seen on her black top as she closed her eyes. 'Don't get it twisted! I pulled myself together for a few hours to support Tommy but this is the reality of most my evening currently.' She added: 'Taking deep breaths, covered in vomit, whilst being used as a human cow and trying to look after my other little sassy human too!'
