Molly-Mae Hague has publicly addressed the ongoing mystery surrounding her missing engagement ring, more than a year after reuniting with fiancé Tommy Fury. The Love Island stars, both aged 26, reignited their romance last year and are currently anticipating the arrival of their second child, due on June 12. They are already parents to three-year-old daughter Bambi.
The Ring's Notable Absence
In her latest YouTube video, Molly-Mae directly responded to persistent fan inquiries about whether Tommy would propose again, given the ring's absence from her finger. She clarified emphatically, 'No, we're not doing another proposal... I’m not wearing my ring and I don’t really wear my ring. Do you know what? I actually don’t plan to wear my ring either guys.'
She elaborated on her personal feelings, stating, 'But I also do still consider myself engaged and a fiancée even though saying that does give me the ick a little bit.' Molly-Mae stressed that her decision is not a reflection of her commitment, explaining, 'No I don’t wear my ring and it’s not for the reason of me not feeling like I’m engaged or not a fiancée. I just actually don’t want to wear it because it’s almost too special.'
A Precious Keepsake Securely Stored
The reality television personality disclosed the ring's current location, revealing, 'My ring is not even with me, it’s somewhere far away, locked away and very very safe.' She described the jewel as 'too precious, it’s too special' for daily wear, prompting her to consider an alternative. 'I'm actually thinking potentially a ring that I can wear on that finger that I can wear. I just can't ring my engagement ring every day.'
Despite its absence, Molly-Mae expressed profound admiration for the piece, calling it 'my dream ring, I wouldn't change it for the world.' She admitted, 'I didn't think about the wearing of it every day.' Regarding marriage plans, she noted they both desire to wed but 'can't be bothered with having a wedding.'
The Ring's Extravagant Value and History
ROX Managing Director and co-founder Kyron Keogh previously estimated Tommy Fury spent approximately £600,000 on the stunning oval-cut diamond band. He told Daily Mail at the time of the engagement, 'Molly-Mae's engagement ring features an exquisite oval-shaped diamond that looks like 6 carats, and if it's high colour and clarity, it could be worth an estimated £600k.'
Keogh highlighted the ring's distinctive style, noting, 'Oval diamonds offer a fresh take on the classic diamond solitaire, making them a unique choice for those who want to break away from tradition and stand out.' He added, 'This cut has become increasingly sought after with celebrities like Kourtney Kardashian and Hailey Bieber choosing this style.'
A Tumultuous Relationship Timeline
Tommy Fury proposed during a romantic trip to Ibiza in July 2023, cleverly disguising the occasion as a brand excursion. However, their relationship faced significant challenges. In the summer of 2024, Molly-Mae announced their separation after five years together via an Instagram statement, writing, 'I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way.'
Tommy vehemently denied cheating allegations in a magazine interview, dismissing reports as 'complete and utter b*****ks.' Later, in her Behind It All documentary, Molly-Mae identified Tommy's drinking as a major factor in their split. Despite these difficulties, the couple reconciled and joyfully announced their second pregnancy in February, marking a new chapter in their enduring partnership.
