Mock The Week Star Milton Jones Cancer Free, Returning To Stage

Comedian Milton Jones, best known for his appearances on the BBC Two panel show Mock the Week, has announced he is cancer free and will resume his stand-up tour after undergoing treatment for prostate cancer.

The 61-year-old funnyman had postponed several dates earlier this year following his diagnosis. In a statement, he said: 'A few months ago, I had to stop my tour Ha! Milton because I needed treatment for prostate cancer. I'm glad to say I've had that treatment and am now cancer free!'

Jones expressed gratitude to the medical team who supported him, as well as his family and friends. He added: 'I have to admit there were a few dark moments when I wondered if anyone would ever see me again, but then I realised that I was leaning against the light switch. Thankfully I'm now in a completely different place.'

The comedian has rescheduled 20 tour dates across the UK, including venues in Exeter, Guildford, St Albans, Newbury, Crewe, Wrexham and Bury St Edmunds, running from September to November. His tour, Ha! Milton, is a nod to the West End musical.

Jones first revealed his diagnosis in April via Instagram. Olympic cycling legend Sir Chris Hoy, who is battling incurable prostate cancer, offered his support at the time, commenting: 'Really sorry to hear it mate, best of luck.'
