Miranda Kerr has revealed that a clever text message was the key to winning the heart of her billionaire husband, Snapchat founder Evan Spiegel. The Australian supermodel, 42, shared the story in a resurfaced interview, detailing how she took the initiative after their first meeting.
The pair were seated together at a Louis Vuitton event in Los Angeles in 2014, where Kerr told Spiegel her favourite song was 'Spiegel im Spiegel' by composer Arvo Pärt. They exchanged numbers, but after a month of silence from Spiegel, Kerr decided to make the first move.
She sent him a text asking: 'Just wondering – did you ever listen to that song, Spiegel im Spiegel?' Spiegel later confessed to the Wall Street Journal that he hadn't called because he didn't think he would 'ever have a chance' with the former Victoria's Secret Angel.
Kerr, who was still recovering from her 2013 split from actor Orlando Bloom, said the couple became 'good friends' before dating. They married in 2017 and now share three children: Hart, seven, Myles, six, and Pierre, 19 months.
