Pop superstar Miley Cyrus has announced her engagement to long-term boyfriend Maxx Morando after a romantic proposal that completely caught her off guard during a recent trip to Asia.
A Surprise in Asia
The 33-year-old singer, known for her controlling nature, confessed she was utterly astonished when her partner of four years, 27-year-old musician Maxx Morando, got down on one knee. Speaking on Good Morning America this Wednesday, the bride-to-be explained her genuine shock. "I am not easy to surprise because I love to control every situation, and I had completely surrendered," she gushed. "And I'm telling you, I was so, so, so surprised!"
The Perfect Ring
Cyrus was full of praise for Morando's choice of engagement ring, confirming he "did good" with the selection. The bespoke piece is a cushion-cut diamond design by Jacquie Aiche, set on a 14-karat gold band.
Dreaming as One
Reflecting on their four-year relationship, the pansexual artist highlighted the profound personal growth she has experienced. "It's very obvious the drastic amount of growth that I've had in those four years [with Maxx]," Cyrus noted. She went on to describe their unified vision for the future, stating they "dream as one." The singer emphasised the importance of having a supportive partner, adding, "You just want to dream the biggest you can, and you want to have someone by your side that always tells you, 'You can do it!'"
The couple, who have kept their relationship relatively private, now embark on their next chapter together following the successful and surprising proposal on their Asian holiday.
