Michelle Keegan has debuted what appear to be her first tattoos, and they serve as a heartfelt tribute to two beloved companions in her life. The Stockport-born actress revealed her new permanent inkings on social media, showcasing delicate script on each foot.
Sweet Tributes to Her Dogs
In a series of Instagram photos, Keegan displayed her new tattoos: the name 'Pip' on one foot and 'Phoebe' on the other. These are the names of her two dogs, making the ink a touching homage to her furry friends. The actress posted a close-up of her feet while wearing YSL tan heels, clearly showing the names.
Keegan also shared a picture from inside a tattoo studio, where she lay on a bed waiting for her turn. In the background, her husband, Mark Wright, could be seen seemingly planning his own tattoo. The post was captioned: "Last week was a good one."
Fan Reactions
The new tattoos did not go unnoticed by fans and fellow celebrities. Actress Amy-Leigh Hickman commented with heart-eye emojis, while @sophieedaviss wrote: "The tattoos. I’m obsessed." Other followers expressed their admiration, with @tel_deacon saying: "Loving the tattoos," and @xk.dryden adding: "Omg how cute for the doggies."
A Busy Year for Keegan
The revelation comes amid a packed schedule for the former Coronation Street star. Earlier this year, she wrapped filming for The Blame, a new ITV drama, and immediately moved on to reunite with bestselling author Harlan Coben. Keegan will lead the cast of The Woods, an eight-episode limited series adaptation of Coben's 2007 novel. She plays Professor Lucy Gold, opposite Tom Bateman as Paul 'Cope' Copeland. This follows her acclaimed role in Fool Me Once in 2024.
Keegan also recently celebrated her 39th birthday, which she marked with the tattoo session alongside her husband. In April, she had teased a spontaneous visit to a tattoo shop in London, posting a photo outside with the caption: "Sorry mum... yolo made me do it." At the time, she did not reveal the result, leaving fans curious until now.
