Meghan Markle Faces Backlash Over Father's Day Message for As Ever
Meghan Markle Criticized for Father's Day As Ever Message

Meghan Markle has faced harsh criticism from fans after releasing a new 'dad' message ahead of Father's Day. The Duchess of Sussex sent a newsletter to her As Ever customers promoting her products for the special day on June 21.

Meghan's Father's Day Message

The newsletter, titled 'Say thanks to Dad,' suggested a breakfast in bed idea featuring croissants, salted butter, Strawberry Spread, fresh fruit, and coffee or Herbal Lemon Ginger Tea. It read: 'Whether you need a simple way to say thank you to Dad or simply want to create a comforting morning moment — breakfast in bed is the perfect treat.'

Fan Reactions

However, fans were unimpressed. Royal News Network on X called it the 'worst idea for a Father's Day promotion' and said it 'reeks and screams woman, not man.' Others agreed, with comments like: 'Not a single creative cell in her blood' and 'My husband would laugh and say what this s*** is.'

One user noted: 'My husband's idea of a Father's Day breakfast is scrambled eggs, bacon, hash-browns and pancakes, not croissants and fake jam.' Another joked: 'Wait, that is supposed to be breakfast for a man?'

Previous Year's Tribute

Last Father's Day, Meghan shared a video of Prince Harry and their children, Archie and Lilibet, captioned: 'The best. Happy Father's Day to our favourite guy.'
