Fans began speculating this week after the former couple followed each other again on Instagram. The speculation intensified when the Love Island host, 32, shared a video of herself singing along to one of Stormzy's tracks.
A rap music enthusiast shared a clip of her singing to the song on X, captioning it: "Maya Jama posted an Instagram story singing along to 'One Second' by Stormzy," followed by eye emojis. Maya retweeted the post, commenting: "I like the song. We have always been friends. No one is back together, rest with the theories."

Her post quickly went viral, racking up more than 1.7 million views. The rap fan replied: "It's a banger to be fair." One supporter jumped to Maya's defence, posting: "People act like just because it's her ex she can't like his music, it's literally Stormzy lol, she would probably be a fan even if they didn't date."

Maya and Stormzy, whose real name is Michael Ebenezer Kwadjo Omari Owuo Jr, first met in October 2014 at a Red Bull Culture Clash event. They officially began dating in early 2015 before their highly-publicised break-up in August 2019 after approximately five years together.
