The Masked Singer UK returned for a new series on Saturday night, with five masked celebrities performing for a place in the competition. The show, hosted by Joel Dommett, features judges Davina McCall, Maya Jama, Jonathan Ross and Mo Gilligan, with Ben Shephard as a special guest.
Among the characters performing were Red Panda, Moth, Gargoyle, Sloth and Can of Worms. Fans have been speculating wildly about the identities of the singers, with many guessing that Sloth could be celebrity chef Jamie Oliver, comedian Bill Bailey or former EastEnders actor Tom Skinner.
Last week, Yak was unmasked as John Lydon, who said he took part for fun and to raise funds for his album. This week, Gargoyle was revealed as Shakespears Sister star Marcella Detroit, who said she was sad to leave but enjoyed the experience.
Other guesses from fans included Keisha Buchanan for Moth, JB Gill for Can of Worms, and Toyah Wilcox for Gargoyle. Political figures such as Rishi Sunak, Andy Burnham and Ed Balls were also suggested as possible contestants.
