Margot Robbie Strolls NYC in Chanel, Shows Son Photo

Wherever Margot Robbie may be in the world, her family is never far from her heart. Following her head-turning appearance at the Met Gala on Monday evening, the Wuthering Heights star, 35, was spotted taking a morning stroll through the New York neighbourhood of Chinatown.

Margot looked all business as she strolled, sporting a stoic expression while scrolling through her phone. As she clutched her device, Margot revealed a very sweet detail – a photo of her husband Tom Ackerley and their 10-month-old son. The image showed Tom happily carrying the toddler on his shoulders.

Despite there not being a red carpet in sight, Margot was still keen to flaunt her love of haute couture, stepping out in head-to-toe Chanel. She wore a figure-hugging black scoop-neck top under an oversized Chanel blazer featuring the fashion label's signature embossed gold-tone buttons. Keeping the Chanel theme going, she also wore black wide-leg jeans which nearly obscured her black and beige cap-toe Chanel pumps.

She shielded her eyes with black sunglasses and brought the whole ensemble together with an AU$18,000 Chanel 2.55 reissue handbag. Margot was also spotted carrying a large shopping bag bearing the logo of The Greenwich Hotel – the swanky hotel in Tribeca co-owned by Robert De Niro.

Meanwhile, Margot unveiled a very different look for her 2026 Met Gala appearance. The Barbie star shone in a soft gold strapless gown with a drop hem and dramatic ruffled train by Chanel at the annual event, held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. She boosted her height with strappy gold stilettos, but her standout accessory was her stunning jewels. The mother-of-one swept her hair up into a chic updo to reveal breathtaking canary-yellow diamond drop earrings, and she also wore a show-stopping canary-yellow diamond ring on her right hand.

Earlier in the evening, Margot strutted out of The Mark Hotel solo and did not appear to be joined by her husband for the event. Her Met Gala appearance comes after her huge Wuthering Heights promo tour with co-star Jacob Elordi came to an end. In March, it was reported that the gothic romance surged past $230 million worldwide, cementing itself as one of the year's biggest theatrical surprises just two weekends into its run.

Margot and Tom welcomed their son on October 17, 2024. While the couple have kept his name a secret, Margot has previously opened up about how much she loves motherhood. In August last year, the Barbie star told Entertainment Tonight that being a mother was 'the best'. 'It's like, [when] you try to explain to someone who has kids, you don't need to because they get it, and if they don't, it's probably just really boring to hear,' she said. 'So, it's kind of like, "It's the best", you know?'

Margot spoke briefly about her son again during an interview with Access Hollywood days later. She was filming a sit-down chat about her new film A Big Bold Beautiful Journey when her son started crying. 'I'm so sorry by the way for how loud my baby is,' Margot said. 'It's a great soundtrack, isn't it? Great soundtrack!' her co-star Colin Farrell chimed in. Host Scott Evans briefly ended the interview before resuming, and they proceeded to gush about Margot becoming a mother. 'I'm sorry, I had to stop the interview for a sec, 'cause like isn't there a part of you that's like, "Yes!... That's my baby right there!"' Scott asked. 'Literally, every time, I want to go, I know, "That's my baby! That's my baby!"' she said, before telling Colin, 'You were there while he's been growing.'

Margot's pregnancy was made public in July 2024 and the couple enjoyed a romantic 'babymoon' to Sardinia, Italy, at the end of August. They got married in 2016 and are co-producers on a number of projects, including Wuthering Heights, through their production company LuckyChap Entertainment.
