Margaret Josephs' Secret Rhinoplasty and Cosmetic Journey Revealed

Margaret Josephs has publicly disclosed that she underwent rhinoplasty surgery, but with a surprising twist regarding the timing. The Real Housewives of New Jersey alum, who turns 59 on April 9, initially stated she had the procedure on March 4, but has now revealed she secretly had the plastic surgery last August.

Choosing the Right Surgeon

Josephs enlisted Dr. Gary Motykie to perform what she describes as a 'nasal rejuvenation' in Los Angeles. This decision came after consulting with a New York doctor who, according to Josephs, 'wanted to literally take my whole nose off' because he deemed it 'too masculine.' The reality star told People magazine, 'It was making me nuts. I would notice in pictures that my nose would look bigger or the tip would drop when I would smile.'

She continued, 'I was like, "What's going on?" And then I looked at pictures when I was younger. My face was fuller, my nose looked different. After a while, I was like, this is not working.'

Comprehensive Nasal Procedure

Dr. Motykie's work went beyond simple cosmetic refinement. The plastic surgeon not only refined the tip and bump on Josephs' nose but also fixed her deviated septum, which has left her 'breathing a lot better.' Additionally, the procedure included a stem cell treatment and an innovative facial rejuvenation technique.

Following her GLP-1 agonist-assisted weight loss of 22 pounds in 2023, Josephs' face had hollowed out. To address this, Dr. Motykie injected Josephs' own body fat from her hips into her facial areas. 'It gave me a more youthful appearance,' the Fashion Institute of Technology graduate explained. 'I was never really a filler person. I did filler once or twice on my lips years ago. After I had my veneers done, I feel like it puffed up my lips a little.'

Recovery and Previous Procedures

The recovery process was notable, with Josephs convalescing at the luxurious Beverly Hills Hotel, where rooms cost between $1,200 and $2,000 per night. She humorously recounted managing to 'scare children at the pool' with her 'brutal' bruising post-surgery.

This recent rhinoplasty is just the latest in Josephs' extensive cosmetic surgery history. In 2019, she underwent multiple procedures including a revision neck lift, deep plane facelift, lower eyelid lift, and a revision upper eyelid lift performed by Dr. Mark Karolak. The following year, in 2020, Josephs had a breast lift and reduction performed by Dr. Joseph Michaels.

'Prior to even going on TV, I had my eyes done and a brow lift in my early 40s because I had such deep lines in my face,' Josephs noted. 'I had gotten a lot of sun, my lids were drooping. So yes, I definitely would've still gotten plastic surgery [if I weren't on TV]. I'm a vain woman, I'm not going to lie. I do it for myself, that's the whole point, not for anybody else.'

Career Transition and New Projects

This revelation comes just one week after Josephs shocked fans by announcing she was 'moving on' from Real Housewives of New Jersey after seven seasons. She stated her intention was 'to spend more time with my family, work on my designing, and just take a break.'

However, the 'blessed' reality star has already moved on to new projects. According to reports, she was 'on the set' of her new venture, which Us Weekly claims is Savannah Chrisley's untitled reality show for Amazon Prime Video. The Eat, Pray, Love-style series in the Dominican Republic is rumored to feature numerous reality television personalities including Julie Chrisley, Kim Zolciak-Biermann, Kenya Moore, Kaitlyn Bristowe, Jenn Tran, Brittany Cartwright, Christine Quinn, Tamar Braxton, and Hilaria Baldwin.

RHONJ Changes and Business Ventures

Meanwhile, Real Housewives of New Jersey is undergoing significant cast changes. Dolores Catania, Teresa Giudice, and her formerly estranged sister-in-law Melissa Gorga are the only announced cast members returning for season 15, which begins production later this spring.

'We're back. We are back,' Catania told People. 'There's a change. We've been with the same girls for so long. I will miss the girls that aren't coming back. I'm from New Jersey. We don't like change, right? But I'm embracing everybody, and I'm looking forward to starting again. It becomes a part of your life, so I'm ready to go back. I miss it.'

Josephs remains busy with her business ventures, running her companies the Macbeth Collection, Candie Couture, and Soirée mocktails. The sober star, who boasts 1.2 million social media followers, also maintains an active influencer career with paid partnerships for various brands including LifeRx.md, Laura Geller Beauty, Samplize, Nofar Method, Out East Organizers, and Cynosure Lutronic.
