MAFS UK's Peggy Rose in Hospital: 'I'll Explain Soon'

Married At First Sight UK star Peggy Rose has sparked concern after sharing a photo of herself in hospital. The 34-year-old has had a tough few months, after revealing that she had lost her “miracle baby” just weeks after announcing her pregnancy.

Hospital Post

In a new post shared on her Instagram story, she could be seen in a hospital bed, with her arm attached to drips. Alongside the upload, she added a prayer emoji.

“I’ll explain everything soon,” the E4 star captioned the upload. “Hope you’re all having a wonderful week. Will catch up on messages and comments ASAP.”

Fighting Trolls

While Peggy has yet to share the reason for her hospital visit, she was forced to hit back at vicious trolls who attacked her for sharing her IVF journey with fans, below a post sharing the news of her miscarriage.

Highlighting one cruel comment, she wrote: “Just catching up on comments while I recover and you’ve got to love some people. I shared my whole IVF journey to help others and to try and break the stigma around infertility, IVF, early pregnancy announcements, and miscarriage.

“It frustrates me because comments like this are exactly why so many people suffer in silence. Miscarriage isn’t caused by an ‘evil eye’ or by sharing your happiness. Most miscarriages happen because of factors completely outside of our control.

“If sharing my story helps even one person feel less alone (it made me feel less alone), then I’ll continue to do so.”

Responding to another, Peggy added: “Again, comments like this are exactly why more education around infertility is needed. Not everyone has the privilege of being able to conceive ‘normally’. Around 1 in 6 people experience infertility and for many, IVF isn’t a choice, it’s their only chance of becoming parents.

“Trust me, nobody chooses fertility injections, procedures, heartbreak, and loss for fun. A little compassion goes a long way, especially a post about loss which wasn’t easy to do either but I did it to raise awareness.”

MAFS Journey

Peggy came to fame in 2023, after taking part in season eight of the E4 dating show. She married on-screen partner Georges Berthonneau in the experiment.

However, it wasn’t to last as they went their separate ways shortly after the programme ended. She said at the time: “I'm so sorry I've been quiet on socials everybody but there's a reason for my silence. Me and Georges are no longer together and I'm absolutely heartbroken.

“It's affected my mental health and it's taken me weeks to come to terms with it but with it being Valentine's Day, I can't pretend to be OK. Thank you to everyone who has supported us and our journey... Nobody is more upset about it than me x.”

“Wasn’t expecting a statement from Peggy regarding this situation,” Georges later added in his own statement. “I’m heart broken by our breakup and also trying to come to terms with life without Peggy.

“I appreciate a lot of you have questions but I won’t be talking about this situation as of yet. Also thank you for the messages of support.”
