Madonna Celebrates New Album with Star-Studded London Party for 2,000 Fans
Madonna's Star-Studded London Album Party Draws 2,000 Fans

Madonna made a rare appearance in London last night to celebrate the release of her new album, Confessions II, drawing around 2,000 fans and a host of A-list celebrities to Magazine London in North Greenwich. The event, hosted by Grindr and Warner Music, featured giant legs flanking a huge speaker as the entrance, with supermodel Kate Moss, Ashley Roberts, Daisy Edgar Jones, Saffron Hocking, and Jaime Winstone among the attendees.

Madonna's Arrival and Message to Fans

Doors opened at 9:30pm, and after midnight, the Queen of Pop took the stage to wild applause, declaring: “Alright London? Mother is here. Mother's in the house. Are you ready?” She urged the crowd: “Thank you for coming! You should be whoever you want to be,” flashing a heart sign as fans lifted their phones to record the moment.

The party featured four themed cocktails, and DJ Stuart Price unveiled new tracks, starting with I Feel Free. Madonna performed an impromptu rendition of Hung Up, which drew the biggest cheer of the night, followed by a remix of her 1990s hit Vogue. She instructed fans to “look at me, not your phones,” encouraging them to dance.

Mother-Daughter Collaboration on Stage

Lourdes Leon joined her mother on stage, and despite recent “friction,” they shared a warm hug to commemorate their collaboration on The Test. Madonna has spoken openly about how working on the album “healed” her bond with Lourdes, whom she shares with actor Carlos Leon. Lourdes told another publication: “A way I thought would be easier for us to speak about these things would be through art, which is always something me and my mum have connected over. That's really brought us together.”

Previous Publicity and Night's End

This follows a pop-up event in Times Square, New York, last month, where Madonna straddled a speaker and swung her leg over a barricade. In London, her antics were tamer, though she attempted to climb onto the DJ decks without success. The night ended before 1am, half an hour after her arrival, but the party continued as fans danced on. Madonna thanked the crowd, reminding them of how much she “loves London.”
