Lucie Rose, the new wife of TV presenter Richard Keys, has spoken out following their wedding in Kingswear, Devon. The couple, who have a 31-year age gap, tied the knot in a £20,000 ceremony on the banks of the River Dart. Keys, 66, wore a cream Hugo Boss suit, while Rose, 35, donned a stunning wedding gown.
The wedding, however, has highlighted ongoing family tensions. Neither of Keys' children from his previous marriage attended. His daughter Jemma, a former Hollyoaks actress, had previously sent abusive messages to Rose after discovering her father's affair. Jemma was arrested and charged with harassment over the texts, which included calling Rose 'the filthiest sl**'.
Keys' first wife Julia, who was married to him for 36 years, said she was unaware of the wedding until two hours before it took place. She later wished the couple well, stating she is now in a new relationship and happy. Keys has denied claims that his first wife was suffering from cancer at the time of their split and that Rose was his daughter's friend, insisting they met only twice.
Rose chose not to pursue legal action against Jemma, citing the harm it would cause Keys. The couple, who met in Qatar in 2016, have been together for several years, with Keys proposing two years ago. Keys was previously sacked from Sky Sports in 2011 for making derogatory remarks about a female assistant referee.
