In her heartfelt caption, she expressed their overwhelming happiness, writing: "We’re so excited and beyond happy to tell you we’re having a baby! The pair, who met during X Factor auditions in 2009 and married in 2017, were said to have quietly begun divorce proceedings in June 2025. An insider explained to The Sun at the time, "She has been busy focusing on pursuing her career on the West End stage and travelling the globe... Lucie's in a really good place and has already moved on and met someone else." It was emphasised that there was no crossover between her previous marriage and her new relationship with George.
