Love Island stars Yasmin Pettet, 24, and Jamie Rhodes, 26, have ended their romance after leaving the villa together in third place. The split was confirmed by both parties on Instagram, following speculation that Yasmin had been flirting with Traitors star Freddie Fraser at the National Television Awards (NTAs).
Yasmin took to Instagram to clarify the situation, stating: 'Myself and Jamie had split before the NTAs but hadn't formally announced it yet.' She denied cheating allegations, adding: 'I find it laughable that everyone thinks I cheated on Jamie with Freddie from The Traitors which is not true.'
Jamie also addressed the rumours, writing: 'Yasmin did not cheat on me nor was we in a relationship, we both have big love for one another and want the best for each of us.' He explained that his comment about Yasmin having 'f***** off' at the NTAs was taken out of context, saying it was a phrase he uses when someone leaves.
The split was first reported after the pair were not seen together at the NTAs. An insider claimed Yasmin was seen holding hands with Freddie Fraser and pulling him away for a private conversation. The next day, Yasmin posted a video on Instagram Stories saying she 'couldn't remember' what happened at the awards.
Yasmin and Jamie finished third on Love Island behind Shakira and Harry, and Toni and Cach. At the time, they expressed excitement about continuing their relationship outside the villa, with Yasmin saying she looked forward to 'cute date nights' and Jamie mentioning meeting each other's friends and family.
