Love Island stars Aidan and Kavan Murphy have received a stern warning from their mother just one week into the show, following a series of dramatic events in the villa.
Brothers Face Mum's Advice
Aidan, a 23-year-old property broker, entered the villa on the first day and initially paired up with Ellie Chadwick. However, new arrival Yasmin Hadlow replaced Ellie in the first dumping. In an unexpected twist, the Scottish beauty returned with a bombshell: Aidan's younger brother, 21-year-old electrician Kavan.
While Kavan and Ellie have been getting acquainted, and Aidan grows closer to Yasmin, he recently expressed feeling there is "unfinished business" with Ellie. During the June 7 episode, he mistakenly called Yasmin by Ellie's name, leaving her furious.
Family Speaks on Aftersun
On Sunday night's Aftersun, host Maya Jama sat down with Aidan and Kavan's mother, sister, and brother to discuss their progress. The matriarch described seeing two sons on the show as "strange" and admitted she was shocked by their participation.
"I'm enjoying it," she said. "There are moments when my toes are curling though, I'm not gonna lie. I'm their mum." When asked for advice, she issued a clear warning: "Kavan's very mature for his age. More mature than Aidan. Aidan, calm down. Settle it down."
She then cautioned Kavan: "Don't follow in your brother's footsteps and kind of divert away from that," speculating that Aidan would rekindle his relationship with Ellie. She expressed hope that Kavan would bond with Jasmine Muller, despite their six-year age difference.
What's Next in the Villa?
With two new bombshells entering the villa, heads may turn and fresh relationships could blossom. Viewers will need to watch tonight's episode to see what unfolds.
Love Island airs Sundays to Fridays at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
