Love Island star cuts bills to £600/month in Thailand move

Former Love Island star Kaz Crossley has revealed she spends just £600 a month on bills after chasing her "crazy dream" and moving to Thailand. The reality TV star, 31, now lives in a three-bedroom house with a pool in Phuket, sharing the space with a friend to maximize value.

Cost of living comparison

Kaz appeared on the fourth season of Love Island in 2018 and the All Stars spin-off in 2024. She said: "Sharing with a friend, but the difference in value for money is crazy. My personal experience is that people here are kind, honest and don’t take life too seriously. That’s the kind of energy I love being around." A similar property in London would cost upwards of £2,500 a month in rent alone, according to estimates.

Daily life and activities

Kaz, who recently split from Australian jiu-jitsu champion Craig Jones, pays around £5 for a full tank of petrol for her scooter. Her days are filled with MMA, boxing, Muay Thai, BJJ, and Hyrox training, while she embraces her Thai heritage and local cuisine. She said: "The older I get, the more important it’s become to reconnect with where half of me comes from. Also need to improve my Thai."

Business and pampering

The move abroad has allowed her to take a more hands-on role at Combat Collective, a women’s combat sports and empowerment community she founded. Kaz also enjoys local treatments, noting that manicures, pedicures, and lashes are done in an hour. She added: "Manicure, pedicure and lashes… all at the same time. Done in an hour - The girlies know this is a game changer. Also getting a foot massage at the same time as lashes is also game changer."
