Jesy Nelson's sister hits back at Perrie Edwards over 'difficult' claims

Jesy Nelson's sister, Jade Nelson, has publicly defended the former Little Mix star after bandmate Perrie Edwards accused her of failing to take accountability for her behaviour. The row erupted following Perrie's candid comments on the Great Company podcast, where she described Jesy as 'difficult' to work with during her final years in the group.

Perrie said: 'What annoys me the most... when situations like this happen and the other person doesn't take any accountability, that boils my blood. Take some accountability for your actions and realise you were difficult, you did have difficult moments.'

In response, Jade posted on Instagram, saying she had stayed silent for years while watching her sister endure relentless criticism. She wrote: 'I've watched my sister go through hell and back for many many years... tormented, bullied and pulled down for the way you look.'

Jade referenced Jesy's past struggles with mental health, including two suicide attempts, and argued that Jesy had always accepted responsibility for her own shortcomings. 'As for not taking accountability, that is actually all she's done, she's fully aware she was hard work,' she added.

Jesy quit Little Mix in December 2020, citing the impact of fame on her mental health. The remaining members continued as a trio before pursuing solo careers. Perrie also discussed her past relationship with Zayn Malik, claiming there was 'an overlap' with model Gigi Hadid.
