Jeremy Clarkson's girlfriend Lisa Hogan has broken her silence following the TV star's announcement of his prostate cancer diagnosis. The 66-year-old former Top Gear host revealed his health battle during the latest episode of Clarkson's Farm.
Lisa's Statement
Lisa, 52, who has been in a relationship with Clarkson since 2017, took to Instagram to express her gratitude. She posted a photo of Jeremy sitting in the sunshine with the caption: "Back at the farm." She also reshared a post from Prostate Cancer UK, adding: "Thank you for all the support today. @prostatecanceruk."
Clarkson's Revelation
During the fifth season of his Amazon show, Clarkson disclosed his diagnosis to farm manager Charlie Ireland and farmhand Kaleb Cooper. He said: "I've got cancer. I've known since May." He explained that he had undergone a biopsy after a medical check-up, revealing the cancer was aggressive but caught early.
In the season finale, Clarkson spoke from a hospital bed, noting complications from treatment. He said: "We started season five with me in a hospital bed and here we are at the end of season five and I'm back in a hospital bed." He added: "If this is all successful, I'll see you for season six, and if it isn't, I won't." The episode ended with him saying: "Take care, everyone."
Charity Response
Prostate Cancer UK thanked Clarkson for raising awareness, stating: "Thankfully he found the disease at an early stage, but sadly this is still not the experience of many men across the UK." The charity emphasized the importance of early detection and urged men to use their online Risk Checker or consult a GP.
