Actress Lily Collins is preparing to relocate from Los Angeles to London with her husband, film director Charlie McDowell, and their one-year-old daughter Tove. The 36-year-old star of Netflix's Emily in Paris has reportedly fallen in love with the British capital during her 12-week run in the West End thriller Barcelona over Christmas 2024.
A source close to the family said Collins, daughter of musician Phil Collins, wants to give her daughter the same happy childhood she experienced in the English countryside. However, she is now drawn to London, particularly the northern areas such as Hampstead and Queen's Park, where she has friends and family.
Collins and McDowell sold their home in Pasadena, California, for £4.5 million last year. They also own a £1 million property in Copenhagen. The actress grew up in Guildford before moving between West Sussex and Los Angeles following her parents' divorce.
Speaking about her affection for London in January, Collins said the city 'felt like home' and that she enjoys riding double-decker buses. The move would place her among other celebrities who have relocated from the US to the UK, including Ryan Gosling and Ellen DeGeneres.
