The star, who voiced Lilo Pelekai in the 2002 animated film and continued in the role throughout much of the franchise, passed away on Tuesday. Her partner, Roy Hernandez, confirmed to TMZ that she died of meningitis after being hospitalized earlier this month due to malnutrition.

Health Complications

Hernandez revealed that Chase also suffered from an infection in her blood, leading to septic issues that ultimately caused her body to shut down. In addition to her iconic role in Lilo & Stitch, Chase was known for her performances in Big Love and Donnie Darko.
