Lara Trump has revealed that her husband Eric's height was the first thing that caught her eye when they met nearly two decades ago. In the foreword to Eric's new memoir, 'Under Siege: My Family's Fight to Save Our Nation', Lara writes that she was attracted to him because he was taller than her, even when she wore heels.
Lara, who stands at five foot eleven, says she often reaches six foot three in heels. Eric is six foot five. 'I'll admit, my first thought was, this guy's taller than me, and I'm in heels. This might just work out,' she writes. The couple met in 2008 while out with mutual friends and began dating three months later.
Eric proposed in 2013 at the Trump Seven Springs estate in New York, and they married in 2016 at Mar-a-Lago. Lara, now 42, also recorded the audiobook version of the foreword. President Donald Trump contributed his own foreword to the book, which was released on Tuesday.
Lara writes that she never expected to like Eric, let alone love him, but found him 'genuinely humble and caring and charming'. The couple have two children, Luke and Carolina.
