Laila Rouass Reveals Incurable Autoimmune Disease Battle

Laila Rouass, best known for her role in Footballers' Wives, has revealed she has been diagnosed with an incurable autoimmune condition that has left her 'broken'. The 54-year-old actress shared the news on social media, reassuring fans that while the condition is not life-threatening, it has caused her to lose control over her body, which she described as 'humbling'.

In a heartfelt post, Rouass explained that her diagnosis is the reason she has been quiet on social media in recent weeks. 'There have been nights of tears, not from weakness, but from release,' she wrote. 'Treatment has taken its toll, physically, emotionally, spiritually. But I am here. A little softer. A little stronger.' She did not disclose the specific nature of the condition.

Rouass, who married snooker champion Ronnie O'Sullivan earlier this year after a 13-year on-off relationship, has reportedly been supported by her husband throughout her health struggles. The couple recently tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in London and have since moved to Dubai, where O'Sullivan has set up a practice facility.
